Speech, Language, Hearing Sciences (SLHS)

The MSU Speech, Language and Hearing program (SLHS) provided me a unique opportunity in the heart of downtown Denver.  MSU provided the bridge from being a preschool teacher to enter a Master’s program and become a speech language pathologist. MSU imparted on me a deep knowledge of the field and excellently prepared me for success. The professors and clinical teachers in the SLHS program foster a warm sense of community and are passionate about creating strong future clinicians. I am proud to be an MSU SLHS alumni and thankful for the program that helped me make the leap from teaching to practicing as a speech language pathologist.

I think it is nearly impossible for anyone to graduate from MSU Denver’s SLHS program and not feel prepared and excited to keep moving forward with the profession. This is largely due to the outstanding, brilliant and diligent professors.

Jessica Beers is a speech language pathologist at Infinity Rehab in Ellensburg, Washington.

After my first week at MSU Denver, I knew I was on the right career path. The teachers had so much energy and were so helpful. They were experienced, and they loved their work. I currently have my own business and have never been happier. I credit the teachers I had at MSU Denver for where I am today because they were knowledgeable and guided me down the right path.
